Facing the Mourning:
Guided Grief Support Groups

Compassionate, Structured Support for Your Grief Journey

Grief is complex, personal, and often overwhelming. Whether your loss is recent or something you’ve carried for years, it can be hard to know where to turn for support. Facing the Mourning is a structured four-week grief support group designed to provide guidance, connection, and meaningful ways to process your loss in a supportive environment.

At Petal & Peak Mental Health, we offer in-person groups in Southwest Denver and virtual groups for individuals across Colorado, ensuring that grief support is available no matter where you are. Bethany Raab, LCSW, ACS, is a trained Heartlight Center facilitator for Facing the Mourning and is committed to helping individuals find hope, healing, and community during difficult times.

What is Facing the Mourning?

Facing the Mourning is a structured program designed to help individuals process their grief in a supportive, interactive way. Over four weeks, participants engage in activities and discussions that help them navigate the many emotions of loss. Each session introduces practical tools to explore grief, reflect on memories, and build resilience for the journey ahead.

This group is open to anyone grieving the loss of a loved one, no matter where you are in your grieving process.
